Passage Roux

complet refurbishment of a 55M2 apartement

For this project, we turned two small studios and an adjoining private courtyard into a single stunning 55M2 apartment.

In order to do this, we had to make administrative requests to the co-owners associations and to the city hall in oder to be allowed to buy and incorporate the courtyard into the apartment. It took approximately four months, which gave us time to conduct the study for the project.

In terms of materials, we suggested the use of a lime finish on the walls, which allows the stone to breath.

For the floor, we suggested herring bone parquet, in a light shade, and belted.

Lastly, we used large marble-effect tiles from  Imola Ceramica https://imolaceramica.com/fr/collections/the-room/ to bring more light to the rooms.

The veranda was covered using a motorized glass roof. In the veranda, we installed a made-to-measure buffet, covered using marble-effect tiles from Marazzi https://www.marazzi.fr/collections/grande_marble_look/.

The open plan  kitchen allows our client to enjoy his guest’s presence while preparing diner.

For cinema enthusiasts, a projector was hidden in a high cupboard, and a motorized screen was concealed in the suspended ceiling.

The entrance hall gives access to the toilet, to two closets, and to the client’s bedroom.

When closed, the closets are nearly invisible.

We are in Paris and optimizing space is essential : we used a Valsir Cubik S frame (https://www.valsir.it/index.php?option=com_content&view=category&id=65&lang=fr) to create two closets on either sides of the toilet and above it, we placed an electric meter and Artiston’s extra flat hot water tank.

The bathroom is open onto the bedroom, and has windows, which makes it bigger visually (in reality, its only 80cm wide !). It is entirely covered in extra large tiles, and we used encased Grohe taps and fittings https://www.grohe.fr/fr_fr/pour-la-salle-de-bains/collections/thermostatiques-a-deux-poignees.html, and a very pleasant ceiling shower.
